Original News Release
--On Wednesday, April 8 Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) is planning to host its 24th Annual Customer Choice Awards Night at the Sons of Italy Hall in Watertown. The Bank is looking forward to a special evening.
“In celebration of the Bank’s 150th Anniversary in 2020, we will award $150,000 to 32 local non-profits, as voted on by WSB customers,” said Bank President & CEO Brett Dean. “We are committed to supporting the communities we serve; and are proud of our customer choice awards program.” This year’s winners represent five different towns, and dozens of volunteers who help hundreds of people in their communities. Representatives from the 32 organizations will attend Awards Night, and have the opportunity to speak about all of the great work they do.
“Although an alphabetical list of the 32 winning organizations has been released, the exact donation amounts, including the Top Three Vote-Getters, will be kept secret until Awards Night on April 8,” Dean commented. “This will make the celebration all the more special.”
Organizations that received one percent of the total number of votes cast, will receive a donation. The organization with the most votes this year will receive $15,000. Voting took place from October-December 2019. For further information about WSB’s Customer Choice Awards program, contact the Bank’s Community Relations Office at (617) 928-2336.
