Branch Appointments
Why is WSB requesting appointments for in-bank lobby teller and non-teller services?
- Reduce indoor face-to-face time: We seek to keep our staff and our customers as safe as possible during COVID. With an appointment, our staff can identify needs and requirements in advance and prepare documents prior to the appointment. These steps often substantially reduce the time you will spend face-to-face, indoors with our staff. This helps protect you and our staff.
- Less wait and fewer crowds to meet capacity guidance: By requesting in-bank appointments for lobby services, we are able to spread services throughout the day and reduce occurrences of multiple parties waiting in the lobbies at the same time. This assists WSB in meeting Commonwealth of MA capacity guidelines during COVID and reduces prolonged close contact amongst our customers and our staff.
What do I need an appointment for?
In-bank appointments are necessary for all lobby services including teller and non-teller services.
The following are the typical non-teller services always requiring an appointment.
If you will be a new WSB customer, please schedule an appointment for the following services:
- New personal account
- New business account
- New safe deposit box
- Notary or signature guarantee
- IRA services
- Other non-teller services
If you are an existing WSB customer, please schedule an appointment for the following services:
- New joint owner
- Add/remove a beneficiary
- Removal due to death
- Legal name change
- Notary or signature guarantee
- Other non-teller services
